Sprinkler blowouts are a necessary service here in Colorado in order to maintain a properly operating sprinkler system. Freezing water is the leading cause of broken pipes, valves and back flow units, all costly to repair. With this simple service, we can protect your system from those long cold Colorado nights and the freeze damage that come along with them.
Your Sprinkler Specialists will complete the following during the sprinkler winterization service:
- Shut off water supply leading to the sprinkler system
- Connect air compressor to the back flow unit
- Remove water from each zone by running air through each line
- Drain valves will be opened and left opened
- All electric valves will be opened and left opened
- Clock will be turned off in way that keeps the current settings for next season

The Sprinkler Squads sprinkler system shut down service is $65.00 for up to 5 zones (AKA valves, sections, stations) and $15.00 for each additional zone.
Additional Charges:
- Crawl space entry required- $15.00
- Additional backflow device or hook up required- $15.00
- Interior air compressor hook up required- $15.00
Pricing Example:
A six (6) zone system with water shut off in a crawl space:
Winterization Charge- $65.00
one (1) Additional Zone- $15.00
Crawl Space Charge- $15.00
Total Winterization Cost: $95.00

It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure the irrigation system remains off after winterization is completed.
Weather patterns can vary and extreme cold may still cause damage even after proper winterization. While we take all reasonable precautions, no system can be guaranteed freeze-proof.
If an internal ball valve or any component inside the home fails during or after a winterization, our company is not liable for resulting damages. These parts fall under household plumbing, and any repairs or replacements must be performed by a licensed plumber.
